Two old men drinking whiskey and reading newspapers in a club comment on the New Zealand government's dismissal of their opinions on defence policies and opine that the government will regret it when the German Kaiser attacks - referring to the start of World War One. Retired armed services and defence personnel had been querying the government's defence priorities.
