A dairy farmer, whose horse and cart with his load of milk cans is deeply mired in the mud of the Hamilton to Auckland road, asks New Zealand Prime Minister William Massey, who is leaning over a fence, "Why did you shelve the main roads bill?" Massey replies "Cheer up! It's been raining". Several more vehicles and travellers are stuck in the muddy road behind the farmer's cart.
