Wellington, circa 1866, looking from The Terrace, across Willis Street (foreground), and towards the wharves and waterfront buildings on the Te Aro foreshore. Photograph possibly taken by W T L Travers.

Note on back of file print reads "This photo is pre 1868 which was the year that the Methodist Church with the elaborate gothic spire was built on the corner of Cuba & Manners Street, Its predessor can be seen in this photo. This church was demolished in 1867..."
