Intersection of Featherston and Hunter Streets, and Lambton Quay, Wellington. The Supreme Court is to the right, next to St Andrew's Presbyterian Church and the Athenaeum (site of the later Exchange) and the Nelson Ale House (Nelson Inn) (later the Central Hotel, site of the later MLC building to the left. The site of the Union Bank (later ANZ) is in the foreground. Photograph taken by William Thomas Locke Travers circa 1870-1871.
