Head and shoulders portrait of Ngati Kahungunu leader of Otaria Pa, Wairarapa, Ngatuere Tawhirimatea Tawhao. He is shown in a flax cloak with a greenstone tiki around his neck, full moko and full white beard.
No artist's name is given on this reproduction but the painting appears to be the work of Lindauer. The reproduction has the additional information "From a painting in the possession of Mrs Aperera Mohi, Carterton, New Zealand". The reproduction appears to date from the 1940s or 1950s
