Looking alongs Hastings Street, Napier, in the 1890s. Shows rows of buildings on both sides of the street, including the American Steam Coach factory on the right and the Albion Hotel on the left, with the name H Claude Fox painted on the verandah. A sign advertises "The HB fruit and confectionary stores" left of centre. Horse drawn carts and a cyclist are on the road. Photograph taken by an unidentified photographer for the Auckland Star newspaper.
