Description

View of Manners Street looking east taken from the corner of Boulcott and Willis Streets. Tram 156 on front left built between 1913 and 1925. Verandah on right (corner of Boulcott Street) is on the Albert Hotel which was demolished in 1930 to make way for the St George Hotel. A sign advertising C H Perret, chemist (of Perret's Corner) can be seen, and opposite, on the other corner of Willis and Manners streets, the facade of the Hotel St George. Photographed by Sydney Charles Smith circa 1928.
