An extensive view of the Bay of Islands, with various features noted, including the flagstaff above Kororareka (Russell), the Roman Catholic chapel standing on its own on the hill and Bishop Pompallier's house, all seen in the distance. The panorama is continued on the next page (E-137-q-014)

Also across the top, in another hand, in pencil 'An excellent view of the ground about Kororareka taken from Paihia Wh... that the plan in the Illustrated London news is ... from brig.
