Weather conditions on the 5th Army Front have resulted in a keen interest in the construction of bivvies and shelters. G A Millar (Taranaki) and Lieutenant G A Sargason (Hawera) have pitched their army issue bivvies to take advantage of the shelter of a rocky outcrop. Photograph taken in the Cassino area on 8 February 1944 by George Frederick Kaye.
