The steamship `Paparoa' in Wellington Harbour. Photograph taken by John Dickie between circa 1911 and 1926.

The `Paparoa' was a twin screw steamer built in Scotland in 1899 for the New Zealand Shipping Company. She was destroyed by fire in 1926. (Information from Rex Hardy's shipping books, Vol 3, 37, held at Turnbull Library Pictures)
