Description

Wilf Clarke beside a telephone booth in Tinakori Road, Wellington, that had been blown over by gale-force winds. Photographed by an Evening Post staff photographer 15 November 1974.

The winds responsable had buffeted Wellington on the night of November 14 and the morning of November 15. The highest gust measured 76 knots at 6am. Several more were around 70 knots between 6am and 7am.
