Album of photographs relating to the Hunter Brown family, chiefly showing processes involved with starting an orchard in Tasman Bay area. Scenes range from breaking in the land in 1912, ploughing, first year apple trees and pear trees, second year apple trees and pear trees, 3rd year pear trees, and a complete panorama (in two parts) of the orchard taken `from the cottage' in 1917.
One photograph shows a group of men with horses and carts collecting gravel for roading.
