Cartoon showing a scene in a railway station with MPs with their baggage shut out of a door marked 'Reserved seats. Ministerial benches. Closed for a season.' Behind a ticket window marked 'Treasury' stands Sir Harry Atkinson handing a ticket (a cheque for £210, possibly a Ministerial salary) to James Clark Brown, and in the foreground from left to right, Sir George Grey, William Montgomery, James Macandrew and Walter Johnston, the disappointed Members. Several rats or mice are darting amongst the latter men, possibly let out of a cage being carried by Grey. Walter Johnston was Minister for Public Works and Postmaster General at this period. The others were not ministers.
