Yvette Williams receiving a plaque commemorating her athletics success, including the world record for long jumping in 1954. The award is being presented by Mr S G Leeder, president of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association (NZAAA), at a dance and prize night in Auckland. Photograph taken in 1956, by an unidentified photographer.
News clipping glued to back of print reads: `EFFORT RECOGNISED. Yvette Corlett, who as Yvette Williams set a world record at long jumping, received a plaque in recognition of her success. Making the presentation is S G Leeder, president of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association.'
