Title inscribed on a crest with a rising moon and cupid. A commemoration of the artist's marriage to his wife Maud. The marriage was in 1884 not 1885.
Alexander Turnbull Library has artist's "Memories of sport and travel fifty years ago..." (Auckland: Whitcombe & Tombs, 1938) at NZ&P 920 BUL 1938.
