Papers of Schow, a Danish settler in Mauriceville with diary describing his voyage from Hamburg and arrival in Wellington on the `Herschel' (Hertsjel) (including heavy storm, rioting of passengers etc) (1875); the journey to Wairarapa and activities there including road works and working on the Rimutaka tunnel; manuscript and published poems; specifications and contract for road construction in the Mauriceville district; tenders for bushfelling; and photographs
