A large A-frame hut with thatching and a slab chimney along the side, facing the viewer. A man is close to the front entrance of the hut, shouldering a log. There is bush beyond the hut. 'Cramer' was probably James Cramer, who arrived in Wellington aboard the 'Bolton' in 1840.
