Description

A policeman dressed like an American sheriff with spurs and two gun holsters swaggers into a pub and yells at the punters that when the law says 6 o'clock it means 6 o'clock. Text above the cartoon refers to Minister of Labour, J.K. McAlpine's suggestion that police be armed. This cartoon was drawn at the time when pubs had to close at 6 o'clock - the 6 o'clock swill.
