Description

A scene in a native forest, with two boars to the right, being pursued by five men and four dogs. One man holds a rifle, the others hold axes.

Engraver's initials: R. B. sc. Identity of engraver, and of artist ('H') not known

The image is further described in the paper as 'The hardy settlers, or rather diggers of our West Coast have joined this pastime, and there is every probability while so engaged many of them have discovered fresh auriferous ground.'
