Description

A view across water to steep mountains. Sheds and houses, a jetty and a paddle steamer, possibly the Earnslaw, are on the left

The drawing occupies part of page 068 and all of page 069 in the sketchbook. The remainder of page 068 contains 'Memo for 2 lake subjects' with tiny outlines of hills, lakes, boats, etc. Colour notes include 'near bluff all in light', 'White pad[dle] box', 'Snow in shade' on the hill to the right
