Description

Petone Railway Station and railway yards, with a signal box across the lines from the station. A train is pulled up at the station; the main road runs north alongside the station, with the intersection of Jackson Street visible centre right. Beside the station there is a building with the sign "Hubbucks" on the side. Photograph taken by Albert Percy Godber.

This Petone station was opened 26 July 1905 by Sir Joseph Ward. It was designed by George Alexander Troup.
