Photograph of soldiers of the 57th Regiment (Die Hards), circa 1864. A caption on the reverse states "officer Sir Robert Douglas" and he may be the man fourth from the left in the middle row. The photograph has been retouched and is in poor condition. Photographer unidentified.
Note on back of file print reads "Soldiers of the 57th regiment (Die Hards) photographed in a casual group. The regiment was in NZ from 1861 to 1876 and was led by officer Sir Robert Douglas at this time."
