- Description
View looking towards a gold mining site in Thames. Taken from a goods wharf that ran off Burke Street. Hauraki Golden Age stamper battery, built in 1898, is on the right. The poppet head up the valley, in the centre, belongs to the Caledonian mine. A P Godber copy, of a photograph taken by an unidentified photographer, and listed by Godber as "Evening Post Collection".
