This cartoon borrows from the movie The Exorcist. It shows a girl labelled Consumer Price Index in bed saying she is all right but she thinks her mother Electricity Department is possessed now. Deputy Prime Minister Hugh Watt is dressed as a minister of religion and is standing over the girl in bed holding a cross labelled Election Promise and declaring that she will not be raised. The mother, Electricity Department, is screaming about a multi-million dollar deficit
