Members of the Petone Unemployed Worker's Movement, in Jackson Street, Petone, marching to Parliament. The offices of the Petone branch of the Evening Post are in the background. One of the banners says: No 5 Scheme means Economic Dominion Disaster. Photographed by an unknown photographer for the Evening Post newspaper on Janurary 30th, 1932.
A related photograph published in the Evening Post with the following caption. "Unemployed demonstration -- Some hundreds of unemployed marched from Hutt Valley to the city today and assembled in Parliament grounds while a deputation waited on the Prime Minister...."
