Map of Kororareka, Bay of Islands 1845

Copy negative of a map drawn up on March 11th 1845. It depicts the position of ships (HMS Hazard, Flying Fish, Russel, Victoria and Dolphin), prominent buildings (such as the Romanist Chapel), the flag staff and gun emplacements in and around Korarareka (now Russell). It is not known who drew the map or who the photographer was.
