Two-part cartoon showing Bert and friend pausing outside the T.A.B., and later entering a bar instead, while another man goes into the T. A. B. holding a sheet marked 'Tips'.
Appears to have been drawn for RSA journal.
T.A.B. stands for Totalisator Agency Board, the body governing betting on horse-racing.
Bert mistakenly believes that the T.A.B. shop dispenses the Para-typhoid A & B vaccine which was given to NZEF men going to the Middle East in World War 2. It was given in the form of 2 jabs, one month apart, and was resented for the fact that one was delayed for 1 month in order to have both jabs.
