Description

Shows Auckland Harbour with HMS Esk to the left, flying blue and white pennants. In the centre, with no sails, is the prison hulk Marion, with figures lining the deck. There is a string of pennants along part of the ship's length, and a blue naval flag hangs from one mast. In front beside the ship is a small boat with red sail. At right distance is a steamer and three sailing vessels. On top of hill at left is a signal tower, with red flag flying.
