12 images taken during a Maori Women's Welfare League fund raising garden party for the Maori Education Foundation, held at the Tinakori Road residence of the Hon J R Hanan, Minister of Maori Affairs. Shows women weaving with flax including Millie Clark (in semi-traditional Maori clothing) in frames 6,8 & 9; Mrs M Love and Witerana Harris (left) in frames 1-5,7,10-12. Photographs taken by Ans Westra in 1962.
