Refers to a scandal that developed after Labour MP John Tamihere insulted fellow Labour Party politicians in an interview with the editor of Investigate magazine, Ian Wishart. He called Chris Carter a "queer" and a "tosser", while Steve Mahary was labelled as being "smarmy".
