This cartoon relates to the illness of Prime Minister Norman Kirk a few months before he died. He is returning to work and stands in the doorway of his office which has a notice 'J.[sic - should be H.] Watt, Acting P.M.' hanging on it. The phone is hanging off its hook and the desk is piled high with decisions requiring resolutions.
