Description

An arrangement of text. Items to be performed included: A story of Irish eviction, or "How Father Dan gained the day"; the thrilling recital of the defence of Lucknow; The Mulligan Guards' retreat; Mr W D Lyon's amusing songs and sketches. Performers also included: fifty pupils of Marist Brothers Schools, Mr E J Hill, Miss McCarthy, Mrs Walsh, Miss Katherine Hardy, Mr Prouse, Mr S Ross, Messrs Connolly and E Dunne, Mr W D Lyon, Misses Ross and Jacomb, Mr F W Haybittle.

The full orchestra was conducted by Mr J B Connolly. The boys were drilled by Mr W Naughton. The committee included: Messrs D Walsh, J Brennan, J O'Sullivan, Hyland, Mahoney, S Ross, B LArkin, W Naughton, Dennehy and O'Driscoll.
