Church built in 1888 and moved in circa 1930s to Hokianga Road. In 1970s moved to the back of the property to be the hall for a new church. Later sold to the Roberts family who converted it into a house. (Information from http://www.scenemagazine.co.nz/current_issue/june11_11.pdf accessed 10 Nov 2011). The 1888 church was built on River Road. Convent demolished circa 1945. Robert Francis Hannan family has associations with the church in both locations. (Information from Library client)
