Description

Sheep dogs on the back of a truck at Grasmere Station, near Cass, Canterbury, photographed by John Dobree Pascoe in 1944.

In winter time, when the mountains are under snow, conditions are even harder on the dogs. No shepherd can think of anything worse than mustering without dogs."
