- Description
The Women's Royal Air Force at a parade, probably the Lord Mayor's Procession, in Ludgate Circus, London, at the end of World War I. The WRAFs have two floats. The first carrying several personnel has a sign 'The Work of the Women's Air Force'. Another sideways sign reads 'Dopers', Sailmakers, Carpenters'. The second float signed WRAF carries a plane. A huge crowd looks on. Photograph taken November 1918 by Thomas Frederick Scales.
