Photographs of an unidentified Mexican dance company performing in Wellington

Wassili Wassiliew made photograph essays of many ballet and dance companies including this Mexican one, visiting Wellington. According to an ex student of his wife, Keith McEwing, Wassili knew the Edgleys of the Australian Theatre entrepreneur partnership, Edgley and Dawe who toured these companies through Australia and New Zealand. As a result he was able to get into the theatre wings and photograph the dancers in rehearsal and during performances.
