Folded pamphlet shows a lighted orb shining on the years 1935-1945. In a series of illustrations it compares the years 1935 and 1945 but the following criteria:
Unemployment (Down to nil from 80,000 in 1935)
Post Office Savings Bank and national Savings (more than doubled in ten years)
Bankruptcies (Down from 257 in 1935 to 50 in 1945)
Wages and salaries (66 million in 1935: 176.5 million in 1945)
Government housing (20,000 buit in ten years)
Family benefit (in 1935 not unless more than two children; in 1945 10 shillings per child regardless of paretn's income)
Old age pensions (17/6 at age 65 in 1935; compared with 40/- at 60 in 1945)
