Fox, William (Sir) 1812-1893 : Journal of an expedition to the Wiararapa [sic] / transcribed by Murray Parsons

Fox describes a journey he made with Clifford, Vavasour and Whitehead from Wellington to the Wairarapa beginning 25 April 1843. He recorded the arrangement of the expedition, members accompanying the party, provisions, people met, the territory they passed through, activities en route including hunting pigs and fishing and the state, in particular, of the rivers.
