Description

A Pakeha man (William Moffatt) with a roll on his back, standing alongside a Maori man who has his arms raised in surrender. Opposite them on the river bank is a group of five armed Maori men, one with a gun raised, about to shoot Moffatt. A small canoe is drawn up at the river's edge
