- Description
The male head of the household has problems with members of his family and filling in the census forms. He says to his wife to forget women's lib - just for tonight, he'll be head of the house. He says to his long-haired son, 'I don't care if this establishment is doomed - fill in this census form and help it to analyse its final hours!' As they sit around the dining table, he queries, 'Six persons abiding in this dwelling and only one pen?' He says to his little boy that he doesn't want to count his pet mice. He queries how his daughter ever got School Certificate, and fills her form in for her. The son tells him that two of their chooks have been killed by the dog next door, and finally surmises that the average New Zealander deduced from the census will bear no resemblance to a real person.
