Description

Letters describe Brebner's sea voyage from Egypt to France aboard the S S `Llandovery Castle' and his arrival in France. He describes conditions at the front and gives his impressions of the French civilian population and French countryside. Comments on fighting and gas bombs at Armentieres, and German observation balloons being shot down by Allied planes.
