- Description
Shows the ship "Dunedin" beside the wharf at Dunedin.
A reproduction of a watercolour dated 1953.
The ship colours shown here (grey and black hull with white ports) are incorrect. When the Dunedin left Dunedin with her cargo of frozen meat she was owned by the Albion Line of Glasgow. Her hull was black with pink boot-topping. It was not until late in 1882 that the Albion Line merged with Shaw Savill to become Shaw Savill & Albion, when the new colour scheme was adopted.
