Description

A view of the Pyramids and the Sphinx. The Sphinx has the face of a New Zealand politician, possibly Sir James Carrolll. He is wearing a complacent expression, has a huia feather in his hair and is smoking a pipe; the nearby Pyramid has the face of Sir Joseph Ward, who is smirking and winking at another man who stumbles at the foot of the pyramid, trying to hold up a pole bearing the words 'Opp[osition] arguments'. Across the bottom of the pyramid is the word 'prosperity'
