Photograph taken during the construction of the new Fernhill bridge, across the Ngaruroro River in the Hawke's Bay. Shows the 70-year-old wooden truss bridge in the foreground, and the incomplete concrete replacement bridge in the background. Photograph taken circa April 1948, by the Hawke's Bay News-Photo Service for the Free Lance.
