Headed `Letters to my children friends from NZ sheep run', this is an 18-page description of Danilow's experiences on the New Zealand sheep run he was living and working on at Kurow, North Otago, after his arrival in New Zealand. He writes of the land and sheep, rabbits and the problems they cause, hares, his new friends, his horse, Tobl, he describes his dogs and the work they do, mustering, hunting, hawks, ferrets, hedgehogs and the sunsets.
