Requisition with names of 42 electors and residents in the Manawatu electorate asking Buller to allow himself to be nominated as a candidate for the general elections of 1875. Also includes Bullers reply, with an outline of his views and policies on Provincial Government, the borrowing of money, the re-constitution of the Upper House, native affairs. He promises to support a branch railway from Foxton to Sandon, and the location of a special settlement at Fitzherberton.
