Description

Contains cosmological whakapapa with notes about the divine origin of various items and practices, including birds and trees; there are also narratives about Rata and the origin of canoe building and the revenge he took for the death of his father, conflicts between Uenuku and Whena, and the migrations and settlement of Paikea on the East Coast

There is also narrative text about the Horouta canoe, and the migrations and conflicts of Ngati Ira; there are also karakia, waiata and whakapapa

There is also narrative text about Ruawharo, Tupai and Timuwhakairia before their departure from Hawaiki, their training as tohunga, their fetching of atua and the voyage of Takitimu, narrative text about Niwareka and Mataora and the development of tattooing, and narrative about the adventures of Maui

Other - The contents of this book, I presume, has been copied into another book because each page has been `crossed' with the words `done' written over it. On some pages are the words `done in copy'. The contents of book is still readable
