Description

Aa class steam locomotive 650, type 4-6-2, built by Baldwin. Photograph taken at the Petone Railway Station by Albert Percy Godber.

Original print in Godber Album PA1-q-101 (Vol 108, page 3)

This engine (built by Baldwin Locomotive Works, Philadelphia) entered service in June 1915, and was written off in February 1957. (Information from the 'Register of New Zealand Steam Locomotives 1863-1971' by W G Lloyd, 1974, page 69.)
