Description

1770 map of Lieut. James Cook (Commander) on His Majesty's Bark the Endeavour. Map shows the North Island, Cook's Strait, the Endeavour's trek around the North Island. Identifies certain areas such as North Cape, Bay of Islands, Cape Colville, Bay of Plenty, East Cape, Hawke Bay, Cape Kidnappers, Cape Turnagain, Castle Point, Cape Pallisser, and Cape Terrawhitte.

Also shows the top of the South Island and Queen Charlotte Sound, Cape Farewell, Cloudy Bay.
