Description

Presentation of gifts to his Excellency, Sir Charles Fergusson, Governor General of New Zealand. Two women spread an embroidered quilt (Tivaevae) on the ground in front of the Governor General. The event is taking place in Avarua. Photographed in May 1926 by Sydney Hopkins.
